At the moment the Christmas section is “under construction”. I will be adding new cards to this section over the next couple of weeks.

The image of the daisies was taken from my garden. I thought the image came out well, so I put it on a couple of Birthday cards.

Over the past couple of days I’ve added some new Birthday cards.

I wanted to point out that the new card below can have ANY age on the front. I chose 28 as an example. I really like this card.

Compared to the blue flower image on the previous post, the finished image has come out darker than what it was on the screen. I’m really pleased with how it turned out.

As you can see I’ve layered certain parts of the image 2 or 3 times. This is usually refered to as decoupage. I’m really pleased with how the image looks, althought I thought it looked a little dark. These flowers are purple.

Now I’m working on different colours. This is the blue. The blue flowers will look different once the image is printed as my printer usually prints things darker than what they look like on the screen.

I had an idea from a card I’ve put in the Unique section.
I want to do a decoupage card using this image, instead of colouring it in by hand I scanned it in to my computer. This makes editing and colouring really easy to do (although it’s quite time consuming!!).
Here is how I coloured it…

To begin with I made the image transparent. The grey area represents this.

Next, I put colour behind the leaves.

Then I put colour behind the flowers.

To finish off the colouring I layered different colours with different transparencies on top of the colours I began with. This is the finished image.

Now I am going to try and bring the image to life..

Today I have been adding some more new cards. There are three new cards in the Happy Birthday section.
